Married from 1978. Divorced in 1987. Raised four stepchildren (don't like that word) and am Grandmother of two beautiful girls. Lived in Phoenix, AZ since 1962. Mother, Father and Brother all deceased. Sister-in-law and I are close. I have a cousin, John, in New York, and a cousin, Suzanne, who lives in Massachusetts. All my other relatives are in England and Canada.
Graduate of Glendale Community College School of Nursing in 1973. Passed Nursing Boards in 1973. Worked in Labor and Delivery (1 1/2 yrs), Recovery Room (6 mos), and Operating Room (10 yrs). Took a break from nursing to raise my husband's four children. Attended Arizona State University and got Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1987. Accepted into Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at Arizona State in 1988. Returned to the OR full time in 1991 and continued to work full time until 1999 when I had to finish up my doctoral dissertation. Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology granted in December 2000. In March 2001 started working as the psychologist for a surgical weight management program at St. Luke's Medical Center. Left St. Luke's in April of 2008 and went into solo practice. Focus of my practice has remained on the medical/surgical patient. I have done about 5000 preoperative psychological evaluations since 2001. My practice now is largely composed of chronic pain patients, preop psych evals and some private therapy patients.
I maintain my licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Arizona State Board of Nursing (License 02385) I am licensed as a Psychologist by the Arizona State Board of Psychologist Examiners.
